A command value is inputted to a controller (4) which is connected with a maneuvering gear (6) operated by an operator. A rotation speed detector (8) detects the rotation speed of an engine (2), and sends it to the controller (4) connected with an indicator (10). The maneuvering gear (6) and the controller (4) are connected by multiple wiring lines, and a wiring detector for detecting the communicating states of the individual wiring lines is disposed in the maneuvering gear (6). When the wiring detector outputs a communication error, this communication error is so indicated in the indicator (10) that its location is indicated together with the wiring diagram of the maneuvering gear (6) and the controller (4).
