Oscillating hydrofoil propulsion and steering system
Oscillating hydrofoil propulsion and steering systemA Maltese inventor has created a novel design and gained knowledge of an oscillating hydrofoil propulsion and steering system that offers several advantages over the conventional propeller approach. It can be fitted onto any kind of vessel in any of its appropriate variants. The inventor is seeking to enter into a licensing agreement or joint venture agreement with interested entities.
This invention imitates the thuniform movement of a fishs tail. Two or more hydrofoil blades are made to converge and diverge simultaneously on two or more separate axis to propel the craft. A separate steering mechanism (depending on the variant) is integrated into the said propulsion system to provide both steering and/or propulsion in one relatively simple unit.
